What I do

Four kinds of work, one pair of hands. I'm the only artist here, so the person you consult with is the person who does the work and the person who sees you at your touch-up.

Brows

Nano hair strokes, powder shading, or the two together. I map the shape to your bone structure and to the hair you still have, then build density a stroke at a time so it reads as hair rather than as makeup.

Lips

Lip blush brings back the border and the color that thin with age. It heals a shade or two above your natural lip, so it reads as your mouth and not as lipstick, and it wears the same at the end of the day as at the start.

Eyes

Lash enhancement sets pigment between the lashes at the root, which makes the lash line look denser without a visible line. Shaped and carried further, the same technique becomes a defined liner.

Skin

Plasma fibroblast tightens loose skin on the lids, the brow, and around the mouth as it heals. BB Glow works a tinted serum into the surface to even tone across the whole face.

I correct work other artists can't

Most weeks someone sits down with brows that healed grey, drifted warm, or sit too high for her face. Sometimes the pigment is saturated enough that it has to come out before anything new can go in.

I read what's actually in your skin and tell you plainly what's possible — lightening, reworking, removal, or waiting until the skin is ready. If the honest answer is that you should leave it alone for now, that's the answer you'll get.

You don't have to explain how it happened, and you don't have to apologize for it.

Areola restoration after breast cancer

For women who have finished reconstruction, I rebuild the areola in pigment — color, border, and the shading that reads as dimension under ordinary light. Where one side remains, I match it. Where neither does, we work from photographs or from your memory of it.

Scarred and grafted skin holds pigment unevenly, so this work takes more than one session and I plan for that from the start. It is the most technically demanding thing I do, and it is the clearest measure of how well I control pigment in difficult skin. ABC30 filmed a session in the studio.

The artist

Twelve years in permanent makeup, built on fourteen years in Hollywood hair and makeup. I founded CandiBrows in Venice Beach in 2017 and moved it to Old Town Clovis, where I work alone, by appointment.

I also teach nano hair strokes to artists who are already working. That's a fair measure of the technique — the people who do this for a living come to learn how I do it.

Start with a conversation

Bring your questions, photographs of what you like, and anything you've had done before. We'll look at your face in daylight, I'll draw the shape, and I'll tell you what I would do and what it would cost.

The consultation is complimentary, and there's nothing to decide while you're here.
